In many Chinese families, parents struggle to keep up with their children's vaccination schedules due to busy work schedules and multiple responsibilities, often leading to forgotten or delayed vaccinations. For community workers and healthcare professionals, repeatedly reminding parents adds to their workload. At the same time, many children have a natural fear of vaccinations, making the process even more challenging. To help parents manage their children's vaccinations more easily while reducing the burden on healthcare and community workers, this project introduces a more intuitive and engaging way to track and remind vaccination schedules. In China, the government provides seven primary vaccines for free to prevent highly contagious and harmful diseases, and children aged 1 to 6 are required to complete these vaccinations. I liken vaccines to the organs they protect—when it’s time for a vaccination, the corresponding "organ" will light up, serving as a visual reminder for both parents and children.Additionally, I have designed an "Growth Collection" interactive mechanism, where each vaccine-protected organ is divided into multiple segments, corresponding to the number of doses required. Each time a child receives a vaccine, they earn a new segment, gradually "completing" the organ. This approach not only helps children understand the role of vaccines in a tangible way but also transforms the vaccination process into a fun and interactive experience, alleviating their fear through a sense of achievement and collection. My goal is to integrate the connection between vaccines and human health into design by visualizing and gamifying the vaccination process. This makes it easier to track, more engaging for children, and helps them experience the significance of health protection as they grow.
