Silent Farewell is an immersive, interactive narrative game centered around family, memory, caregiving responsibilities and emotional trauma. Players will take on the role of a young man who, after experiencing the death of a close relative and family changes, gradually unravels the hidden stories in the depths of his intimacy and finds a way to find himself and reconcile with his predicament. The game is interwoven by two core story lines: the grandmother's legacy and the father's silence. After the death of her grandmother, the player returns home and pieces together her past by exploring the photos, diaries, tape recorders, rocaille pines and other items she left behind, while reflecting on his relationship with his family. However, the real story is much more than that - with the accidental disability of his father, the player shifts from being a bystander to being the primary caregiver, and in accompanying his father, he gradually discovers the deep-seated sacrifices, regrets, and pain between him and his grandmother. Players need to make important choices in the game, decisions that not only affect the direction of the story, but also the emotional bonds between the characters: will you choose to accept your father's silence, respect his choices, and put an end to your exhausting and painful life as an unpaid caregiver for him, or will you help him to face his unspoken hurt? Will you be able to untangle the knots in your family's relationships while also organizing your grandmother's memories? When silence becomes a barrier to hurt, are you willing to break it and face the past head on?
